Biography

Born in Nashua, New Hampshire in 1952, Mikey Roy served on active duty as Corporal, US Marine Corps, supply management, Vietnam Era. Civilian career included Stock Broker and Financial Aid Advisor assisting veterans. Active in Marine Corps League activities in New Hampshire and Arizona. As Marine Corps League Homeless Veterans Chairperson, Mikey serves on the Advisory Committee, Maricopa County StandDown, and volunteers the whole week of the StandDown for the past five years. Mikey was a volunteer construction worker on the rehabilitation of Mary Ellen’s Place, affordable housing for women veterans, plus Navajo Code Talker Joe Kellwood’s property and living accommodations. He is now working on Sallie’s Place, affordable housing for women veterans with children. Mikey Roy worked as a volunteer leader of Young Marines for four years, and annually contributes an average of 2,500 volunteer hours.
