Biography

(1929-2009) Born in 1929, entered U.S. Air Force on November 25, 1947. Retired on April 22, 1967 as Senior Master Sergeant with 60% disability, later upgraded to 100% in 1975. District Scout Executive with Theodore Roosevelt Council, Boy Scouts of America. Member Phoenix Chapter 1, Disabled American Veterans, since 1972. Served chapter in every capacity, including Commander. Life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Air Force Sergeants Association, Retired Enlisted Association, Air Force Aid Society, and member of American Legion. Served on Governor’s Council on Developmental Disabilities, Arizona Veterans Service Commission (Chairman 1985-1987), Statue of Liberty Centennial Commission, and Veterans Home Study Board. Considered to be the “Father” of the Arizona Veterans Hall of Fame for his work helping to establish the Arizona DAV Hall of Fame in the mid-1970′s and the Arizona Veterans Hall of Fame for the Unified Arizona Veterans, 1998 present.
