Biography

Born in Lynchburg, Virginia in 1931, Harry Bailey served in the U.S. Air Force, 1952-1982, retiring as Chief Master Sergeant (Aircraft Maintenance Manager), Luke AFB; later retiring from the U.S. Postal Service, 1982-1993. Harry devotes his life to the service of others. As Co-Founder, President and Vice President of the Frank Luke Chapter, Air Force Association (AFA), and State AFA President, Harry advocates for veterans, raising over $250,000 to assist veterans and their families, and provides leadership to AFA’s Wounded Airman Program and AFA’s Grant Program for AFJROTC units. Harry supports youth programs; as the Glendale Boys & Girls Club President, 1985-1993, Harry Bailey raised $100,000 to upgrade the club facility; and served as a Civil Air Patrol volunteer, including Mission Commander, 1985-1990.
