Biography

(1925-1996) Served with Company G, 143rd Infantry Regiment, 36th Division, U.S. Army, in WWII. Wounded in action November 13, 1944 in France; discharged from Valley Forge General Hospital on November 1, 1945 with 90% disability, later upgraded to 100%. Moved to Arizona from New York in 1963. Life member of DAV and Military Order of the Purple Heart. Member of American Legion and VFW. Served as Governor appointee to Jobs for Veterans Task Force, Department of Economic Security Advisory Council as Veterans Representative, Maricopa County Manpower Planning Council as Veterans Representative, and Arizona Veterans Service Commission. When serving as State Commander of DAV, was instrumental in establishing the Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
