Biography

(1921-2001) Born 1921, served in the Women’s Auxiliary Army Corps, 1942-1948, and in the U.S. Air Force for two years. Has been Commander for six years of American Legion Post 43, and is a member of the Women’s Overseas Service League. Long a member of the National Cemetery Support Committee, was Chair in helping raise $10,000 for the women’s memorial at the Cemetery. Voluntary efforts also include 15 years with the local VA, and she represents American Legion Post 43, Director VIP of the 20 and 4 Post, and the Women’s Army Corps Vets, with the Unified Arizona Veterans. Recognized for her service and presented a plaque by General Colin Powell at the Salute to Veterans of Arizona.
