Let me begin by saying that I am sure you are all well aware that COVID is still with us and impacting our lives each day. Unfortunately, it seems that every communication begins by mentioning the restrictions we all face, and this is no different. Despite these issues your Society continues to function, and we have made significant progress in a number of areas.

2020 AVHOF Induction:
Unfortunately, the plans for induction are on hold pending the Governor’s approval of the selected candidates. Once we receive the Governor’s approval the new inductees will be notified of their selection and advised of the induction plans. The specifics of the induction process have not changed since my Notes in the October issue of the Patriot. We certainly hope to get the Governor’s response soon and then move forward with the induction of the new Class of 2020.

Annual Business Meeting:
The Annual Business Meeting for members will be held on November 4 at 1000. This will be a virtual meeting which you may join on your computer or on your phone. The invitation for the meeting follows:

TREASURER'S NOTES

Jerry Wojtas
AVHOFS Treasurer
Class of 2011

Something occurred recently that got my attention.  I was under the impression that most members of our Society write out a check to the Century Club once each year.  Well I found out that many of you will write a second check or even a third check during the year.  That is wonderful.  If I inadvertently do not add up all you donated and list you in the wrong category, please let me know.  I will check my dollar amounts received and make any necessary corrections.

It has been a good year for contributions from members to our Century Club.  While I’m only the treasurer and keeper of these funds, I personally want to express a sincere Thank You to each of you for supporting our cause.

By the way, recently a check got lost because the complete mailing address, as it appears below, wasn’t used.  The Ste. number was left off.  We get all of our mail at a UPS mailbox.  Without that Ste. A2-619, we won’t get your mail.
