Biography

Born in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1939, Jack Sanders joined the US Air Force and earned his wings as a fighter pilot with overseas service in Vietnam, Turkey, Spain, and Italy. Retiring as a Colonel in 1992, he has volunteered with Habitat for Humanity Tucson for 25 years, contributing over 14,000 hours helping to construct over 400 homes for low income families. Since 1978 Jack has been an active member of Old Pueblo Flight of the Order of Daedalians, which provides scholarships to ROTC students. Jack is a 13- year volunteer of the Tucson Medical Center Auxiliary Courtesy Car team, providing transportation for patients and visitors throughout the hospital. As a volunteer at the Davis-Monthan AFB Retired Activities Office, Jack Sanders has provided free income tax preparation for numerous veterans, retirees, and active duty service members.
