On behalf of the Arizona Veterans Hall of Fame Society (AVHOFS), we cordially invite you to join us as a sponsor of the 9th annual Patriotic Gala at the Chaparral Suites in Scottsdale on March 21, 2015.
This is the most anticipated veterans event of the year and attracts service men and women, active, former or retired; and also many business, civic, and philanthropic leaders from across Arizona to honor demonstrated leaders and faithful patriots who serve our nation.
This year’s Copper Award honorees include Mr. Jim Click, President of the Jim Click Automotive Group, who will be presented with the distinguished Copper Sword Award. Mr. Click has been an incredible and generous supporter of our service members, our veterans and their families throughout his entire career. We are extremely pleased to recognize and honor Mr. Click.
The evening will continue with special presentations of the esteemed Copper Eagle Awards to both the Pat Tillman Foundation, and to Rutherford Diversified Industries. Each has lent exceptional support to our service men and women locally, Statewide, and in the case of the Pat Tillman Foundation, the Nation. Their actions are truly exceptional and the results immeasurable.
The Unified Arizona Veterans (UAV) will recognize those who have advanced the cause of Veterans across Arizona. Rep Sonny Borrelli will be presented with the notable Copper Shield Award. Mayor Greg Stanton of Phoenix and Mayor Jack Hakim of Bullhead City will be receiving the Copper Star Bucky O’Neill Award for leading the charge nationally as they address veterans homelessness, employment and other sizable veterans issues.
During the annual Patriotic Gala the Society will also present several Copper Lamp of Knowledge scholarship awards to Veterans who have returned to school to earn a bachelor’s degree or trade certification, and to high school scholars who have demonstrated aptitude while participating in the nationally acclaimed Veterans Heritage Project.
Proceeds from the dinner will fund the AVHOFS projects of both state and local character for veterans organizations in the attainment of their objectives and that promote and encourage responsible citizenship among all Americans. As a 501(c)(3) organization, a portion of all contributions will be tax-deductible.
