Biography

(1930-2016) Born in Rochester, New York, in 1930. Entered U.S. Air Force in 1953 following a year as Cadet Group Commander, Lehigh University AFROTC, and trained as a B-47 and B-52 pilot. Graduated George Washington University, received honorary Doctor of Laws Degree from Lehigh University. Served as Defense and Air Attaché in Iran where he was taken hostage in 1979 and held for over two years. Retired in 1982 with rank of Colonel. Began activity in motivational speaking and relating his Iran experiences. Became active in American Ex-Prisoners of War in Sun City and served as chapter commander. Helped form the West Valley Veterans to solidify volunteer efforts between various service organizations. Instrumental in the dedication of I-17 Arizona Veterans Highway. Continues to inspire young people, organizations, and corporate groups with motivational, inspirational, and educational lectures.
