Biography

Born in Detroit, Michigan in 1940, Tom Linton served in the US Marine Corps, including duty in Vietnam, and retired as a Gunnery Sergeant in 1973. He is retired from the insurance industry. An active member of the Disabled American Veterans for over 42 years, Tom has over 1750 hours of volunteer service at the VA Medical Center Phoenix. While serving on the DAV Finance Committee, DAV State Treasurer, Tom raised funds to purchase vehicles for transporting veterans to the VA Medical Center, and also transported over 100,000 veterans to VA Medical Centers in Arizona. After helping to establish the Veterans Treatment Court, Tom mentored the first veteran in the program. As a major contributor to, and spokesman for, the Foundation for Service Dog Support, Tom is passionate about providing no cost service dogs to disabled veterans.
