Terrie M. Gent was born in Barberton, Ohio in1952. She is Colonel, Judge Advocate General Corps, United States Air Force, retired. Prior to retirement, she served as appellate judge, US Air Force Court of Criminal Appeals, Washington, D.C. She is a former schoolteacher and small business owner. Currently she chairs the Arizona Veterans Services’ Advisory Commission that provides policy advice to the governor of the State of Arizona and the director of the Arizona Department of Veterans Services. She helped found the Greater Sierra Vista Area United Veterans Council and served as its first secretary. She is a member of the State Bar of Arizona Military Legal Assistance Committee that has strongly supported the creation of veteran treatment courts in Arizona. She has volunteered at several Arizona stand downs helping homeless veterans and their families.
