Biography

Born in Vancouver, BC, Canada in 1944. Lee Borgen served 8 years in the Marine Corps, and 14 years in the Navy. A Life Member of The American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, and the National Association for Uniformed Services, Lee is a past Disabled American Veterans District Commander, and served as Commander, Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 16, Prescott, for two terms. She coordinated the Inaugural StandDown in Prescott in 1997 and lobbied for the establishment of a Veteran Center in Lake Havasu City. Lee was the first female Veteran Benefits Counselor in Arizona in 1997, and the first female Coordinator of Women Veteran Services for the Arizona Department of Veterans’ Services in 1999. Lee’s service to the veteran community in Northern Arizona, including service to Native American veterans, is extraordinary.
