Biography

Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1947. Staff Sergeant, US Marine Corps, 1965-1969, with service in Vietnam. Resident of Fountain Hills, Arizona. An active member of Kiwanis International, Ron has been deeply involved with community projects, such as food for the needy, clothing drives for children, and assistance for veterans. In 2008 he developed the Downtown Scottsdale Young Professionals, and assisted in chartering two more Young Professional groups in Chandler and Anthem. He is serving as District Coordinator to raise funds for Kiwanis International’s campaign to eliminate Maternal and Neonatal Tetanus (MNT), a swift and painful killer disease due mainly to inadequate immunization services where impoverished native women in Africa and Southern and East Asia have no access to health care. Under Ron’s leadership, 48% of the campaign goal of 1.5 million dollars ($756,000) has been successfully raised.
