Biography

Born in Glenview, Illinois in 1939. Moved to Arizona in 1945, graduated Arizona State University in 1962. Active duty, US Coast Guard, 1962-1966. Served 30 years in the US Coast Guard Reserve, Retired Rear Admiral in 1996. Had relocated in 1970 to Yuma County and Dateland School for 42 years: Teacher, Coach, Curriculum Coordinator, Principal, and Consultant. Coached summer ball programs in Dateland and Yuma. Was instrumental in establishing both the Headstart program and Yuma Regional Medical Center’s Mobile Health Van in the Dateland, Arizona area. Was involved in establishing a US Marine Corps Junior ROTC program at Kofa High School, Yuma, in 2012. Served 4 years on the Yuma Catholic High School Board, 5 years on the Yuma County Strategic Planning Board, and 14 years on the AEA Federal Credit Union Board.
