Biography

(1919-2005) Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1919. Enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1942. Served as a paratrooper and combat infantry through WW II, Korea, and Vietnam. Retired with the rank of Colonel. With a PhD in Military Science, served as a professor and Athletic Director for Georgetown University, consultant to the National football League, and member of the Philadelphia Hall of Fame. Served 21 years on the national Advisory Board of Childhelp USA, dedicated to preventing child abuse. Served on the Arizona Veterans Services’ Advisory Board, with emphasis on education. Active in Arizona Airborne Association, 82nd Airborne Division, and 173rd Airborne Brigade. Buried at Arlington, Virginia.
