Biography

Born in Newport, Rhode Island in 1944, Roy McClymonds is a retired US Air Force Master Sergeant (Services Supervisor), 1962-1985, including Vietnam and Greece (Iranian Evacuation, 1978). Roy’s civilian career included ownership/operation of a property management company in Rhode Island, and after 2000, transportation services in Mesa, where Roy continued his volunteer work transporting the elderly and disabled persons to doctor’s appointments, etc. In 2005 Roy joined the Scottish American Military Society Post 48; as Vice Commander in 2011 and Commander in 2013, he advocates on behalf of veterans and also coordinates a variety of activities: Color Guard performances and Remembrance Table Ceremonies, and activities with the Vietnamese community. Roy McClymonds also supported the activities and commitment of the Patriot Guard Riders, and the Run for the Wall motorcycle journeys, for eleven and ten years respectively.
