Biography

(1923-2016) Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, in 1923. Veteran of the U.S. Merchant Marine and U.S. Army. Lifelong volunteer with Boy Scouts, receiving Silver Beaver Award in 1976. Elected to Arizona State Legislature in 1966 where he helped design property tax assessing system in use today. Fund raiser for Fraternal Order of Eagles’ charities and research projects for over 30 years. Long-time member of Arizona National Memorial Cemetery Support Committee. Served as chairman of 2003 Veterans Recognition Day program at Arizona State Fair. Volunteers countless hours at Carl T. Hayden VA Medical Center and Arizona State Veterans Home. Active member of the Navy League, American Legion, and Korean War Veterans, and represents American Merchant Marine Veterans on Unified Arizona Veterans association. Promotes patriotism and support to underprivileged children as member of Fraternal Woodmen of the World.
