Biography

Born in Chicago, Illinois in 1944. Sergeant, US Army, with service in Vietnam, 1968-1969. Former steelworker for sixteen years with US Steel Corporation. Retired building inspector, City of Peoria, Arizona, 1982-2005. Served on the Board of Adjustments, City of Glendale, Arizona, 1994-1998. Has served in various capacities at St. Helens Church since 1978. Active in Boy Scouts of America for over 25 years: Scoutmaster, Assistant Scoutmaster, who represented Arizona at four National Jamborees in 1989-2001; Religious Award/Counselor, 1989-2004. Currently serving as Commander of the Department of Arizona and Chapter #691, Military Order of the Purple Heart, U.S.A. and a passionate advocate for veterans. In August 2012 he served as the Department Commander Host for the Military Order of the Purple Heart 80th National Convention in Scottsdale, Arizona.
