Born in Chicago, Illinois in 1944. Sergeant, U.S. Army with service in Vietnam, 1968-1969. Former steelworker for 16 years with U.S.Steel Corporation. Building Inspector, City of Peoria, Arizona; retired in 2005. Served on the Board of Adjustments, City of Glendale, Arizona; 1994-1998, including serving as Chairman for 2 years. Active Boy Scouts Adult Leader since 1986 (26 years). Scoutmaster/ Assistant Scoutmaster representing Arizona at 4 National Jamborees: 1989, 1993, 1997, and 2001. Member of the Boy Scouts Eagle Board of Review, Thunderbird District for 14 years. Boy Scout Religious Award Counselor and Adviser for 15 years. An active member and current Arizona State Commander, Military Order of the Purple Heart; he advocates for veterans. In May 2012, he served as Co-Chair of the Memorial Day Commemoration for the citizens of Surprise, Arizona.
