(1937-2010) Born in Staten Island, New York in 1937. Entered U.S. Air Force in 1956, discharged 1967 with rank of Tech Sergeant. While on active duty, taught basic electronics and radio repair to inner city youth. Retired from IBM as Advisory Engineer in 1992. Joined American Legion in 1980; served as Department Commander in 1990. Restructured American Legion for efficient management, financial stability, and benefits plans for employees; restructured American Legion Baseball in Arizona. Served six years on the Arizona Veterans Service Commission. Played a key role in the establishment and financial solvency of the Arizona State Veteran Home. Served as representative to Veterans Affairs VISN 18 Advisory Committee, and has chaired or co-chaired five golf tournaments to benefit the Tucson VA Medical Center to raise funds for patient’s programs.
