Born in Harvey, Illinois in 1948. Enlisted in U.S. Army in 1968; served as Personnel Specialist in Vietnam. Law Enforcement Officer in Illinois and Deputy Sheriff in Colorado. Civilian Communication Specialist with the Arizona Highway Patrol. As a Life Member of the Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 432, provides speakers to schools, and raises funds for scholarships. Operated phone bank at the Jerry Lewis Telethon for several years. Distributed blankets and food to the homeless. Collected clothing and food for disaster survivors. Helped In-Country Vietnam Veterans clean up roads and rivers. Volunteered at Jobs for Veterans program for those seeking employment. Advocates for veterans with Agent Orange exposure, cancers, and amputation issues. Serves on the Board of Directors for Vietnam Veterans of Arizona. Volunteers at StandDown Arizona for homeless veterans.
