Biography

Born in Sioux City, Iowa in 1934, “KB” Connolly served with distinction for 33 years with the US Air Force as a fighter pilot and General Officer, retiring in 1990 in Tucson. He began volunteering at the Davis-Monthan AFB Retiree Affairs Office, becoming the Director, Retiree Affairs for the past 26 years with over 23,350 volunteer hours invested in helping veterans prepare a variety of VA claims. As Southwest Director, Retiree Affairs Offices, from 2001-2005, “KB“ positively impacted veterans worldwide. “KB’s” service to the community includes oversight and has recruitment of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program where he recruited 147 other volunteers who now assist 5,000 taxpayers; and donated over 1,500 hours as an aviation speaker on behalf of the Arizona Aerospace Foundation and the Pima Air and Space Museum.
