Biography

Born 1947 in Pendleton, Oregon. Enlisted in the US Air Force in 1967; served as a Medic. Graduated from the University of Arizona in 1978. Volunteering at the Prescott VA since 1988 with over 4,500 hours donated helping veterans. In 1993 raised funds, planted and dedicated an orchard near the VAMC Greenhouse. Helped establish a horticultural therapy program for veteran residents of the Prescott VAMC Community Living Center (CLC). Works weekly with patients in Recreation Therapy at the CLC so they can grow through gardening. Since 1993 has served as the Disabled American Veteran (DAV) VA Voluntary Service (VAVS) Hospital Representative. Since 1994, serves as member and Chairman of the VAVS Committee which helps veterans at the VAMC by recruiting volunteers from the community and raising funds to aid veterans
