Biography

Jerome “Jerry” R. Wojtas was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1934. He enlisted into the Army Reserves, served on active duty with the Army Corps of Engineers and retired as a Colonel. Jerry was the Western Regional Sales Manager at the Hammermill Paper Company and has always been a tremendous advocate for veterans and their families. He is recognized as being a leader among leaders at the Luke Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America. He has initiated personal affairs workshops for veterans and their spouses and he has organized JROTC scholarships dinners to honor outstanding graduating seniors. Jerry contributes to his community by serving as a Sundancer Volunteer at the Surprise Stadium and as a Neighborhood Watch Captain. He enjoys raising funds and working with area youth by lending a hand during annual Easter Egg hunts, seasonal High School Football Games, and Fourth of July celebrations.
