Biography

(1931 – 2007) Born in Princeton, Michigan. Enlisted in U.S. Army in 1949, wounded in Korea and discharged in 1951. Involved in Special Olympics; recognized by Paralyzed Veterans of America for help with trapshoot competitions; Companion Animals Association of Arizona Award; numerous awards from Order of the Sons of Italy for his work in Heritage and community service. Was instrumental in construction of the Purple Heart Memorial in Wesley Bolin Plaza, ROTC recognition programs, and fundraising for the Crossroads rehabilitation program. Memberships in Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans, Paralyzed Veterans of America, Military Order of the Purple Heart, Maricopa County Sheriff’s Posse, and Lions Club.
