Biography

Born in Lackawanna, New York in 1949, Joe Little is a US Army Vietnam combat veteran who retired as a Sergeant/Ranger Team Leader in 1972 after sustaining major injuries. Ranger Joe is the recipient of the Silver Star, the Bronze Star, and three Purple Hearts. Applying his Master’s degree in Social Work at the Phoenix Vet Center, Joe dedicated himself to helping veterans dealing with post-traumatic stress. Joe’s volunteer accomplishments are amazing:  Community Emergency Response Team member and trainer, Phoenix; Crisis Counselor and Mentor, Phoenix Fire Department, 9 years; supporter, counselor, and former president of Operation Freedom Bird, 25 years; over 17 years of officer level responsibilities including President, 75th Ranger Regiment Association; volunteer worker at 18 StandDowns in Phoenix, Tucson, and Bullhead City;  and mentor to veterans in the Lake Havasu City Veterans Treatment Court.
