Biography

Born in Evergreen Park, Illinois in 1942. Active duty, US Air Force, 1961-1962, and 1981-2000 with Arizona Air National Guard, retired as a Master Sergeant. Set precedent as first female single parent in reserve component. Established a camp scholarship program for children of deployed 161st Air Refueling Wing members. Serves as a volunteer at the VA Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona, assisting with various programs to include transportation of veterans to medical appointments, singing in the choir, and helping with Public Affairs Office. Serves with the DAV and American Legion performing Military Honors for fallen comrades. Has served as a Registered Adult for Young Marines, Firebird Chapter. Serves as a foster parent for the Arizona Humane Society, fostering dogs for military members being deployed overseas. Life Member of the Disabled American Veterans and several other veteran organizations. She continues to help veterans and their family members on a daily basis.
