Biography

Born in Ironton, Ohio in 1945, relocated to Phoenix, Arizona in 1947. Enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1966, served in Vietnam, discharged 1969. Received his commercial pilot’s license in 1970. Worked at Arizona State University for 33 years, serving on boards and committees working to improve conditions for ASU staff and to provide community service activities. In 1998, received the first ASU Alumni Association Staff Achievement Award. Active in the Masons, El Zaribah Shrine, Tempe Elks, and Order of the Moose. Supports veteran-related volunteer activities in American Legion and 40 & 8 in the community and the VA Medical Center. Served as Chairman for the Tempe Veterans Day Parade for more than 22 years.
