| Biography | Born in Miami, Arizona in 1950, Jose “Joe” Baeza served in the National Guard and retired from the Marine Corps. His civilian careers included schoolteacher, guidance counselor, and coach – soccer, basketball, and cross country. Joe has served as DAV Chapter 14 Service Officer, Junior Vice Commander, Senior Vice Commander, and Commander. He led the effort to secure a larger Chapter Office to better serve veterans. Joe was instrumental in Chapter 14’s attainment of the coveted Arizona DAV Chapter of the Year Award. Joe was selected as DAV Commander of the Year, and currently serves as DAV Dept of Arizona Senior Vice Commander. In his community, Joe assists elderly veterans with VA claims, home repairs, yard work, and transportation to doctor’s appointments. Across the border, Joe Baeza helps impoverished townspeople, and builds housing for the needy. |
