Biography

(1922-2020) Born in Phoenix, Arizona, in 1922. Inducted 1942, U.S. Army. Crewman of B-17 shot down over Germany, captured and held prisoner for nine months when liberated by the British 8th Army in August 1945. Owned and operated Shopping Bag Market for 13 years followed by careers in life insurance and real estate. Active member of American Legion, and 2005 Commander of American Ex-Prisoners of War, Department of Arizona. Past president of The Gideons International and Chinese Chamber of Commerce; former board member of Arizona Baptist Childrens Services and Grand Canyon University. Supports Hu Long Schools and Xiao Hai Schools in Kaiping City, and donated the funds to build an Entrance Gate to the village of Kaiping City in Guangdong, China, the birthplace of his parents.
