Biography

Born in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1947, Gordon C. James is a third-generation Arizonan and a veteran with the 186th Military Police Company, Iowa Army National Guard. In 1988, Gordon joined President Bush’s staff at the White House as the lead advance representative for the President. Two years later, he established Gordon C. James Public Relations, a full-service media relations, event management and governmental affairs agency.After 9/11, Gordon spent five months in Baghdad as Advance Director for the Coalition Provisional Authority and Director of the Presidential Palace Studio, overseeing Ambassador Paul Bremer’s interactions in the region. Gordon is a leading advocate for veterans in Arizona; he is the Founder of the Honoring Arizona Heroes nonprofit organization, a key supporter of the Phoenix Veterans Day Parade; and a Board member of the Veterans Medical Leadership Council.
