Biography

(1930-2022) Born in Spring Valley, Minnesota in 1930. Enlisted USAF 1948, OCS 1957, BSEE degree 1968, National War College 1978, retired Colonel USAF in 1987. As a member of City of Sierra Vista Environmental Affairs Commission, spearheaded recommendations for water conservation revisions to city code and water conserving sewage processing, conversion of City fleet to alternative energy vehicles, and to facilitate solar water heating and power generation in new government, commercial, and residential construction. Liaison to Upper San Pedro Partnership advocating water conservation and aquifer recharge needed to preclude potential closure of Fort Huachuca under future BRAC. Veteran Legislative Affairs Advisor, United Veterans Council and other Veteran Groups. Assists over 550 veterans and veteran groups in advocating for Federal and State legislation affecting active duty, Guard and Reserve, retirees, and survivors.
