Biography

Born in Dickinson, North Dakota in 1946, Gerry Berger joined the US Army in 1964. In 1973 she enlisted in the Air National Guard and served until her retirement in 1999 as a Master Sergeant.  Gerry also retired as an Air Force Federal employee serving 40 years.  An active member and Commander of the Mary Ellen Piotrowski Post 94, Sun City West, Gerry promotes Post 94’s Pancake Breakfast fundraisers and the Memorial Boulevard of Flags event, seven times each year, as well as participates in “honors” at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.  Gerry Berger has helped over 400 domestic abuse survivors; helped raise over $20,000 to assist disabled veterans in the West Valley; and actively supports the Joe Foss Institute, the Annual Maricopa County StandDown, and the Annual West Valley Massing of the Colors.
