Biography

(1932-2023) Born in Baltimore, Maryland in 1932.  Entered U.S. Army Reserve in 1951.  Called to active duty 1954, discharged in 1961 with rank of Spec 5.  Began employment as a training instructor at the U.S. Army Air Defense School, Fort Bliss.  Relocated to Arizona in 1969, retired from Salt River Project in 1987.  Served as volunteer with Heber-Overgaard Sheriff’s Posse and Fire Department and named Heber-Overgaard “Man of the Year” in 1989.  Recognized by Navajo County Board of Supervisors for volunteer efforts on Fire and Sanitary District Boards.  Volunteer at Arizona State Veteran Home and VAMC Northwest Clinic.  Active in Scottish-American Military Society, Korean War Veterans.  Served as Vice Chairman for American Legion National Homeland Security Council.  Director of American Legion Law Enforcement Career Academy at Camp Navajo.
