Biography

(1912-2010) Born in Chicago, Illinois in 1912. Served in U.S. Army for over 30 years, retiring in 1970 as Lieutenant General with Distinguished Service Medal and Silver Star among his many awards. Noted lecturer, scholar and author, currently Professor of Public Affairs, Arizona State University. Author of 285 published works. Listed in 2003-04 Marquis Who’s Who publications: World, America, West, American Education, and Finance and Industry. Previously listed in 1972-74 in Who’s Who in Government. Current member of Scottsdale City Charter Review Commission, Westminister Village Charitable Foundation, Arizona Academy Town Hall. Has served on board of advisors of Central Arizona Chapter, American Red Cross; Arizona Governor’s Regulatory Review Council, Arizona State Personnel Board, and many others. Received Governor’s Citation for “outstanding services to the State of Arizona, June 1, 1971, to January 5, 1975″ after serving 3 years as Special Assistant to Governor Jack Williams.
