(1929-2016) Born in Washington, D.C. in 1929. Entered U.S. Army 1951, first woman to attend the regular course at the Army War College, advisor to the South Vietnamese Women’s Armed Forces Corps. Retired in 1977 with rank of Colonel. Active in many civic activities in Sierra Vista including Huachuca Art Association Past President, United Church of Christ, Museum and Historical Society, American Cancer Society, Limelight Productions, Greyhound Adoption Society, Community Chorus, Symphony Association, Cochise Cowboy Poetry and Music Gathering, and San Pedro Chapter of Women’s Army Veterans’ Association. 2000 graduate of the Citizens Police Academy, and former member of the Sierra Vista City Council.
