Biography

(1916-2010) Born in Massachusetts in 1916. Enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps in 1942, serving with an intelligence unit in Panama and the Gallapagos Islands until 1945. Remained in the Air Force Reserve until 1955. Appointed employment interviewer with the Arizona State Employment Service in 1946 and served in various managerial positions including a four-year loan to the U.S. Department of Labor in Washington, DC. A nine-year stint as Executive Director of the Arizona Alliance of Business followed. Has served the community as a band and choir director. Past State Commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and has served on various state and national VFW committees for over 50 years, including six years as VFW National Civil Service and Employment Committee Chairman.
