Biography

Born in Phoenix, Arizona in 1975, Corey Harris, US Army veteran, volunteered with Arizona State University to found the ASU Alumni Veterans Chapter, help develop plans for the Pat Tillman Veterans Center and build it into the second most veteran-friendly school in the U.S.  He served on Congressmen Ruben Gallego’s, Harry Mitchell’s, and Congresswoman Kyrsten Sinema’s Veterans Advisory Councils, working on initiatives to include implementation of the Post 9/11 G.I. Bill and improving the VA.  Corey worked with the Arizona State Legislature to pass the veteran in-state tuition bill, founded the Bi-partisan Veterans Caucus, and volunteered as the Unified Arizona Veterans’ Legislative Liaison.  Corey’s contributions to the Phoenix Advisory Group on Homelessness were essential to ending chronic veteran homelessness. He is a member of American Legion Post 1 and serves as Commissioner on Phoenix’s Military Veterans Commission.
