Biography

(1943-2009) Born in Wyoming in 1943, served in the U.S. Navy. Known as the “resource” for all veteran issues in the Casa Grande, Arizona, area. Established a clothing bank for veterans and, as a member of the Elks Lodge, was responsible for its “Adopt a Vet” program in Casa Grande. Conducts clothing drives for homeless veterans and has assisted over 200 veterans and their families with VA paperwork. Serves as an on-call volunteer with local funeral homes and the Casa Grande Regional Medical Center for assistance with veterans. Proposed, designed, and arranged to have 100 flag poles and U.S. flags donated to create a wall of color at the local cemetery. Served as master of ceremonies for local Veteran’s Day and Memorial Day ceremonies last four years. Awarded National Meritorious Service Award by the Elks National Government Relations Board for the donation of his personal time to make sure veterans receive proper care and assistance. Also active member of VFW, DAV, and Vietnam Veterans of America.
