Biography

(1921-2016) Born Medford, Massachusetts in 1921. Graduated Tufts University 1943 and Commissioned Ensign, served in WWII. Separated in 1946 at the rank of Lieutenant JG. Employed as Sole Prop., Partner, Vice Pres. in Insurance, Food Brokerage and Banking-Trust fields. Involved in Boy Scouts, local hospital fundraising, and past director of Kiwanis Pediatric Trauma Institute and NE Medical Center. Past President of National Sojourners Assoc. Phoenix Chapter. Member of Military Officers Association of America, American Legion, and VFW. Co-founder of Sun Cities Chapter, Military Order of the World Wars Arizona Youth Leadership Conference Endowment Fund. Established Sun Cities Chapter Patriotic Education Endowment Fund. Active in Lakewood Methodist Church, Sun City. Director of Sun City Taxpayers Association to advocate for reasonableness in utility rates and taxation. Advocate for youth scholarships and financial assistance to low income citizens. Recognized by AARP for outstanding service to the community, and recipient Patrick Henry Medal, Military Order Of the World Wars.
